The SPINE token community sale will take place in two phases: curation and auction.

• Curation: Exchange BIO for SPINE tokens
• Auction: Exchange SOL for SPINE tokens

Here is a step-by-step, 0 – 100 guide to help you participate in the community sale.

Step 1 — Set up your Wallet

To participate in the token sale, you need a wallet. We recommend using the Phantom Wallet, a non-custodial wallet that gives you full control over your funds and private keys.

1. Download and install the Phantom Wallet app on your mobile device or as a web extension on your desktop browser.
   1. For Desktop
      1. Visit Phantom and select your browser.
      2. Follow the instructions to install the official Phantom extension.
      3. Once installed, Phantom will open in a new tab.
      4. You can pin Phantom in your browser’s extension bar for easy access.
   2. For Mobile
      1. Visit Phantom and select the official app store link for iOS or Android.
      2. Download and install the app.
      3. Open the new Phantom App to start the setup process.
2. Create a new wallet or import an existing one.
   1. Create a new wallet [if you do not have one]
      1. Click Create a new wallet.
      2. Click Create a seed phrase wallet.
      3. For extra protection, set a secure password for desktop or enable biometric security (fingerprint or face recognition) for mobile.
      4. Save your Secret Recovery Phrase securely—it is the only way to recover your wallet.
      5. Click Continue to finish the setup.
   2. Import an existing wallet [if you have set up a Phantom Wallet before]
      1. Click I already have a wallet.
      2. Enter your Secret Recovery Phrase to restore your wallet.
      3. Create a new password (for desktop) or enable biometric authentication (for mobile).
      4. Click Continue to complete the setup.

• Never share your Secret Recovery Phrase—it controls your wallet.
• No real Phantom, SpineDAO, or Bio Protocol team members will ask for your recovery phrase.
• Store your recovery phrase securely. Losing it means losing access to your funds.

Step 2 — Get SOL Tokens

You need SOL tokens to pay gas fees for every transaction you make using your wallet on the Solana blockchain. Gas fees are crypto’s version of transaction fees.

To get SOL tokens, you can deposit from another wallet address or exchange into your wallet, or buy through Phantom Wallet’s integrated payment providers.

Here’s how to get SOL in your Phantom wallet.

Option 1: Buy Directly on your Phantom Wallet

1. Open the Phantom extension or app and click Buy.
2. Select Solana (SOL).
3. Enter the USD worth of SOL you want to buy. This should typically be the USD worth of SPINE tokens you want to buy + gas fees (~ 20 USD). The payment provider with the cheapest price is automatically recommended, but you can view and select quotes from different payment providers.
4. Click Buy and complete the purchase through the pop-up window.

Option 2: Deposit from Another Wallet or Exchange

1. Open Phantom and click Receive.
2. Select SOL to view your wallet address and QR code.
3. Copy the address or share the QR code.
4. On the exchange (Binance, Coinbase, etc.) or another wallet, go to Withdraw, Deposit, or Send.
5. Paste your own Phantom address, enter the amount, confirm the Solana network, and send.

Step 3 — Get BIO Tokens

To participate in the curation phase of the SPINE token sale, you need to exchange BIO tokens for SPINE tokens.

Option 1: Swap SOL to BIO

1. In your Phantom Wallet, click Swap.
2. Search and select SOL (or any other token you want to buy BIO tokens with) as the token to pay and BIO (Contract Address on Solana: bioJ9JTqW62MLz7UKHU69gtKhPpGi1BQhccj2kmSvUJ) as the token to receive.
3. Input the SOL amount you want to pay and confirm its USD worth. The USD worth of SOL should typically be the USD worth of SPINE tokens you want to buy.
4. Click Swap Now to complete the transaction.

Option 2: Get BIO from exchanges

1. Get BIO on Uniswap, Binance, or Jupiter.
2. Deposit the BIO tokens to your wallet by copying your wallet address and withdrawing from the exchange (reference option 2 in step 2).

Step 4 — Get SPINE tokens

You can exchange BIO and SOL tokens for SPINE in the curation and auction phases of the SPINE token sale, respectively.

Curation Phase:

1. Go to SpineDAO’s dashboard on Bio Protocol’s launchpad and connect your wallet.
2. Input the amount of BIO tokens you want to commit for SPINE tokens.
3. Click Commit and confirm the transaction in your wallet.

After the transaction is completed, you will have now locked your BIO tokens in exchange for SPINE tokens.

Auction Phase:

The Auction phase will go live immediately after the curation pool gets filled.
